Anyone that's ever played an Odyssey 2 game knows that the system was quite underpowered when compared to many of the other video game consoles of this time period. Someone should have informed Imagic of that when they decided to release two of their more popular titles for the system in 1983, as these two games push the Odyssey 2 system in ways not many thought possible. To say that Demon Attack and Atlantis are two of the best-looking Odyssey 2 games would be a big understatement. Not only do these two games look quite impressive, they also play pretty well.

In Demon Attack, you take control of your laser cannon and you must shoot down the many waves of demons that come swooping down from the sky towards the planet's surface. The demons aren't easy to take down, as they have very erratic movements and will fire their own laser cannons at you. The control in the Odyssey 2 version of the game is quite smooth, even with the quirky joystick controllers found on the system. The hit detection can be a little streaky, but it's still good enough to get the job done. About the only bad thing that can be said about this version of the game is that the sound effects are horrible and quickly become quite irritating. Other than that, Demon Attack is a very solid and quite impressive Odyssey 2 title.

This game is certainly well below any of the other Demon Attack releases on other systems in terms of both visuals and sound effects, but that's understandable given the limited hardware capabilities of the Odyssey 2 console. Having said that, it's still amazing what programmer David Johsnon was able to accomplish on such limited hardware in porting this game over to the system. If you happen to own an Odyssey 2 computer, this game is an absolute must-have and further proof that Imagic had some extremely talented programmers working for them during their short run.
