While it's the original Imagic Intellivision titles that garner most of the attention, there were some very solid ports available on the system as well. Demon Attack would be one of those such ports. It's worth noting that the game looks, feels, and plays a lot differently than most of the other versions of the game available on other platforms, but it's still an amazing space shooter and is a nice spin on the original Demon Attack formula.

In Demon Attack, you get to take control of your space cannon and your given the task of destroying wave after wave of enemy Demons as they swoop down towards the planet's surface. Once you've taken out several waves of enemy demons, you'll then get to take off and fly up to take on the Demon Mothership. You'll then have to take out the mothership's shield and then fire a well-placed shot right between the Demon's eyes. The control in this version is top notch and the visuals and sound effects are equally impressive. Demon Attack proves to be yet another outstanding Imagic Intellivision release.

There's a bug in the retail release of Demon Attack for the Intellivision in which if you fire a shot into the middle of the Demon Mothership destroying it and then at that exact moment move your ship off in a diagonal direction, the game will vibrate as it does when the mothership is destroyed, but it will also freeze up in that state and continue shaking. You have to press the reset button in order to unfreeze the game and start over. Programmer Gary Kato has stated in interviews before that he knows about the bug and is rather ashamed of it. He explains that he was only able to test the final version for about 15 minutes, as the operations people at Imagic were really pressuring him to hurry up and have his Demon Attack game ready for release.
