Imagic 1-2-3 was actually never released, although packaging and artwork were completed on it not long before Imagic finally went under in 1985. Programmer Steve DeFrisco stated in an interview that his Atari 400/800 version of Wing War was originally going to be a cartridge release, but was later included in this Imagic 1-2-3 compilation package on floppy diskette along with the Laser Gates and Quick Step titles. Although these games were never officially released, the roms have since began circling the internet for years and are now readily available for download if you look hard enough.

All three of these games were originally released on the Atari 2600 VCS system, so if you're looking for more information on them, take a look at the Laser Gates, Quick Step, and Wing War Atari 2600 game pages. About the only differences between the Atari 2600 and Atari 400/800 versions  is the fact that the Atari 8-bit computer versions have slightly better visuals and sound effects. Other than that, they basically play exactly the same.

PROGRAMMERS
Dan Oliver (Laser Gates)
Steve DeFrisco (Wing War)
Dave Johnson (Quick Step)

Since there are basically thee Imagic games in this compilation, that alone would have made it worth a purchase had Imagic 1-2-3 been released. Laser Gates is the clear winner of the three with its defender-like game play. Quick Step has its own charm, but the shallow game play can become repetitive over time. Wing War just feels pointless and is way too frustrating to be much fun.
