ABOUT
ME
I played my first video game in 1979. The game was
Asteroids and I was hooked from that moment on. I got an Atari 2600 VCS
system for Christmas in 1981, and kicked off an obsession for video
gaming that continues still today, some 27 years later.Although I was a huge fan of arcade games, it was the original stuff that I enjoyed the most on the consoles. Most of my Atari 2600 collection consisted of Imagic and Activision titles, with the majority being Imagic releases. The first Imagic game I ever played was Cosmic Ark, which a friend traded me for my Activision Dragster game cartridge. From that moment on, I began buying every Imagic Atari 2600 title I could get my hands on. And after staring at the Imagic catalog that showed off all of the cool Intellivision titles, I wanted a Mattel Intellivision system so bad I couldn't stand it. Unfortunately, it would be many years later before I would finally get on the internet and locate an Intellivision system. Of course I didn't stop there. I currently own over 35 game systems, including many of the pre-1984 game consoles. The picture at the right is my classic gaming setup and includes the Colecovision, Mattel Intellivision, Atari 2600 VCS, TRS-80 Color Computer 2, Magnavox Odyssey 2, Atari XE Game System, Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, Commodore 64, and Commodore Vic-20 computer. This allows me to play just about every single one of Imagic's game releases, which I still do quite often. I currently own 48 Imagic titles, most complete in their original boxes, and some are still brand new and sealed. My goal is, at some point, to own every single Imagic game ever released. |
My Classic Gaming Setup I had to cut off the Vic-20, TRS-80 Coco 2, and Commodore 64 Computers. They're on a shelf right above the Atari 2600 and Odyssey 2 systems. |
